Teignmouth and Dawlish Way
Four Extra Miles for the Teignmouth and Dawlish Way
In the two years since it was opened the Teignmouth and Dawlish Way has become one of Devon’s favourite walks. Over a thousand copies of the official guide have been sold and feedback from walkers has been very positive.
Now a new edition of the official guide has been published.
The original route ran only from Teignmouth to Dawlish, via the villages of Bishopsteignton, Luton, Ideford and Ashcombe, through some glorious countryside, on ancient paths.
But now an extra four miles have been added creating a circular walk back to Teignmouth.
Although the walk officially starts at Teignmouth Pier, the creation of a circular walk gives walkers the opportunity to start and finish at any point along the route, creating an eighteen-mile walk. This can be walked in one day by fit walkers or broken down into easier sections.
Copies of the new guide to the Teignmouth and Dawlish Way are available at local Tourist Information Centres at £2.50, or can be ordered by post enclosing a cheque for £2.50 including p and p (made payable to Teignmouth and Dawlish Ramblers) to Teignmouth and Dawlish Ramblers, 21 Southdowns Road, Dawlish Devon EX7 OLB.
