Over the Hills 300 Blogs Not Out
Over the Hills 300
Well, here we are – the 300thOver the Hills blog. Nearly two years since the whole idea found its way into cyberspace, dozens of articles and tens of thousands of words later I am still roaming and blogging. Thank you to the Ramblers for their wonderful support, the Open Spaces Society for their inspiring campaigns, but above all to the thousands of readers, particularly my regulars (do sign up using the widget thingy on the right if you want to join the band.) And if you are not a member of the Ramblers and the Open Spaces Society do please join these worthy organisations.
We need to build a mass movement if we are, in these perilous times of austerity, to protect our right to walk in the British countryside, not to mention the countryside itself. We need the support of each and every one of you. Well, there’s lots more to come on the Over the Hills blog. Over the next few weeks I will be looking at access to woodlands and how we might protect what’s left of our ancient woodlands from destruction. There’ll be more of my walks and travels. Lots of campaigning news. Please do send me any news you have.
Regards, John B.
